Round 4 of the British National Dragon Boat League

June 11, 2015 in Club News by Peter

Round 4 of the British National Dragon Boat League will take place at 10am on Sunday 14th June at the River Tees Watersports Centre (RTWC), The Slipway, North Shore, Stockton, TS18 2NE.

The country’s top Dragon Boat teams will be racing at this event, including teams from London, Liverpool, Nottingham, Worcester, St Neots and others, including Powerhouse of Stockton-on-Tees. We are expecting over 15 teams.

The River Tees is one of the few national venues that can support 4 and 5 lane dragon boat racing – so the racing should be particularly exciting.

The event is free to watch for spectators and good views can be had from Infinity Bridge and both North and South shores. Please come along to support your local teams.

Tickets for our grand raffle will also be on sale (£1 each) which will be drawn on the day with prizes donated from many leading local businesses including Teesside Audi, Rockcliffe Hall, Crathorne Hall, Thistle Middlesbrough, Psyche and many others. The proceeds from the raffle are in aid of our two nominated charities Help for Heroes and Cancer Research UK.
